Goalie Drew Johnson, who helped Thornton Academy win the Class A boys hockey state championship for the second time in three seasons, is one of four finalists for the Travis Roy Award.
Marc-Andre Perron of Bangor, Wyatt Labonte of Biddeford/Old Orchard/Massabesic, Brandon White of Falmouth and Sam Foley of Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle are the other finalists.
The Travis Roy Award is given to Maine’s top senior Class A hockey player. The winner will be honored at the Class A hockey banquet on March 22 in Brunswick.
Johnson went 14-2-1 with a 1.76 goals-against average and 91.6 save percentage this season. Foley was the leading scorer in Class A with 18 goals and 26 assists. Perron, a right wing, scored 14 goals and assisted on 21 others for Bangor, and Labonte, a defenseman, had one goal and nine assists. White, a goalie, finished with a 1.92 goals-against average and a 92.3 save percentage.
