RICHMOND — Brady Alexander had a hat trick as Richmond defeated Islesboro 7-2 in boys soccer action Wednesday.
Kenny Mecham added a goal and two assists for Richmond (7-1), and Ben Fournier had a goal and an assist. Gavin Grover and David Edwards also scored. Edwards and Finn Foster spent one half each in goal and made three saves apiece.
Nate Waldren and Louis Outerbridge scored for Islesboro (2-7), while Harper Conover added an assist. Finn Calderwood made six saves in goal.
GIRLS SOCCER
TEMPLE 2, BUCKFIELD 0: Dixie Szabo scored twice as the Bereans won a battle of undefeated teams in Buckfield.
Mia Fitzpatrick and Sofia Isgro added assists for Temple Academy (9-0). Keeper Karissa DeWitt made six saves.
Buckfield (8-1) goalie Kai Trenoweth finished with 10 saves.
