WATERVILLE — Day’s Jewelers, a New England-based jewelry retailer, has been named among the Best Places to Work in Maine for its eighth year, marking a significant milestone for the newly founded employee-owned business.

Best Places to Work in Maine is an award that recognizes 100 excellent businesses each year that go above and beyond to give their employees the best possible work environment and experience, according to a news release from the jewelry retailer.

Since its founding in 1914, Day’s Jewelers has committed itself to build a company that stands the test of time. Day’s has continuously invested in its employees through innovative curriculum development, technical training and development, and career growth opportunities, according to a release from the company.

“I’m extremely proud of our incredible team for earning this award,” said Joe Corey, president of Day’s Jewelers. “It is a true testament to the hard work and dedication from our people to make our employee-owned company the best it can be.”

The winners will be honored Oct. 11 at a celebration at the Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive, in Augusta. A publication featuring the winners will be distributed at the event and then inserted into the Oct. 30 issue of Mainebiz.
