The final show of the season at the Maine Art Gallery at 15 Warren St. in Wiscasset, “Made in Maine,” is a celebration of Maine artists. Many of the artists plan to discuss their work at an opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, when music will be supplied by guitarist /singer Lisa Redfern.
“Made in Maine” continues through Saturday, Oct. 22. Normal gallery hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. On Thursday, Sept. 29, the exhibition will be open for Wiscasset Art Walk. Visitors to art walk may visit the gallery until 8 p.m. that day.
Gallery members were invited to submit works that reflect Maine way of life, and the result is a variety of images and mediums.
Exhibit sponsors include Les Fossel Restoration and Sherri Dunbar of Tim Dunham Realty. Cromwell Coastal Properties sponsored season classes.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
