Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area plans to offer What to Expect When your Child or Teen is Grieving from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the Hospice Community Center, 304 Main St., Waterville.
Accompanying a child or teen through their grief journey can be complicated. When it comes to children and grief, many adults are left wondering “How do I support my child?” and “Is this behavior a normal way of coping?” This open discussion workshop focuses on what to expect and ways to help children and teens cope with grief. Offered to anyone that has a grieving child or teen in their life.
The interactive workshop will be led by Hope’s Place consultant and mental health counselor, Donnajean Pohlman, LCPC, and Jillian Roy, Hope’s Place coordinator.
For more information or to register, contact Roy at 207-873-3615 or jroy@hvwa.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
