BUCKFIELD — Rita Benoit threw a one-hitter to lead the Hall-Dale softball team to a 10-0 win over Buckfield in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday.
Hall-Dale (3-0) jumped out to a an early lead scoring four in the top of the first and came back in the top of the second with three more runs. They scored twice more in the fourth and one more time in the fifth.
Sammy Thorton had three hits and Torrie Tibbetts had two.
Carmen Crockett had Buckfield’s (1-4) lone hit, which came in the bottom of the second.

WINTHROP 8, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2: Ella Rice had a double and a single while driving in three runs in the Ramblers’ victory in Winthrop.
She also had two stolen bases. Lydia Rice had a triple and Maddie Perkins had a double in the victory. Bella Littler led all Winthrop (3-1) hitters with three hits, which were all singles. Lauryn Wood struck out eight in the circle, only allowing two runs and two hits in the victory.
Winthrop scored two in the first and and second innings, added a run in the third and scored three more times in the sixth.
The Falcons fall to 1-3.

MARANACOOK 4, MCI 1: Shylah Woodford had two hits, and Alexis Michaud pitched a complete game as the Black Bears sank the Huskies in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game in Readfield.
Michaud allowed two hits to help Maranacook improve to 4-0.
Gracie Moore and Danielle Dow each doubled for MCI (0-2).

MADISON 14, CARRABEC 0, 5 INNINGS: Brooke McKenney tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out 13 batters, to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Cobras in North Anson.
McKenney, Gilly Bonito and Lilly Levesque each had two hits for Madison (4-0). Mackenzie Robins had three steals.
Shyanne Holmes had eight strikeouts for Carrabec (0-3).

VALLEY 6, RICHMOND 2: Brielle Hill pitched a complete game, allowing just one hit, as the Cavaliers rolled to the East/West Conference victory in Bingham.
Hill also helped her own cause with a double while Kara Bigelow tripled. Valley improved to 2-2.
Richmond dropped to 3-3.

CONY 5, LAWRENCE 4: Jasmine Mace had two singles to lead the Rams to a win over the Bulldogs in Augusta.
Bri Madore earned the win in the circle for Cony (3-2).
Jade Sullivan smacked three doubles for Lawrence (3-1).

OAK HILL 5, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3: The Raiders (2-2) scored three runs in the top of the seventh to rally past the Phoenix (1-5) in Jay.
Kelsey Young was the winning pitcher and collected two hits for Oak Hill, which trailed 3-2 entering the final frame. Carly Austin also had two hits.
Emma Towers had a pair of hits for Spruce Mountain, and Jaydn Pingree was saddled with the loss in the circle.

SKOWHEGAN 9, EDWARD LITTLE 2: The River Hawks (5-0) used a six-run seventh inning to pull away from the Red Eddies (1-5) in Auburn.
Annabelle Morris, Jaycie Christopher and Calloway LePage all had two hits in the game, while Sierra Carey singled and had two RBIs.
Leah Thibodeau had two doubles and an RBI for Edward Little. Alexis Kelsea also had an RBI in the loss.

MT. ABRAM 11, TELSTAR 1: The Roadrunners (3-0) scored eight runs in the fourth inning and ended the game in the bottom of the sixth by pulling out to a 10-run cushion over the Rebels (1-3) in Salem.
Kaden Pillsbury had two hits, three RBIs and scored two runs for Mt. Abram, and also pitched an inning of relief of starter Adam Luce, who scattered three hits and struck out six. Cam Grey also had two hits, including a double, and collected two RBIs and two runs scored.
Brody Walker had two of the four Telstar hits and drove in the Rebels’ lone run.

MORSE 15, GARDINER 0: Gavin Biallargeon threw a no-hitter, walking two and striking out nine as the Shipbuilders won in Bath.
Thomas Guild led Morse (3-4) with three RBI on a pair of base hits. Gabe Aucoin tallied three singles while Jason Bussey and Gabe Morrison each had two. Bussey, Calin Gould and Zach Carpenter all registered two RBI.
Gardiner falls to 0-4.

NOKOMIS 10, WATERVILLE 3: The Warriors (2-1) scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning and smacked 15 hits total to top the Purple Panthers (2-3) in Waterville.
Owen Upton clubbed a home run and a double for Nokomis in the win, and Cody Chretien, Mason Hopkins and Mike Scharf added two singles each for the victorious Warriors. Jacob Neumayer claimed the win for Nokomis on the mound.
Ben Foster was the losing pitcher for Waterville. Joe Hamelin hit a triple for the Panthers.

MADISON 12, CARRABEC 3: Thomas Dean drove in three runs and scored a pair to help the Bulldogs roll to the MVC victory in North Anson.
Dean also had a double for Madison (3-3), while Alex Corson and Benjamin Thrasher each had two hits. Austin Hay struck out 11 in five innings of work on the mound for the Bulldogs.
Luke Carey doubled and scored two runs for Carrabec (0-4).
