WORCESTER, Mass. — The following area residents graduated on May 12 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute during the university’s 150th commencement ceremony:

McKenzie Brunelle, of Sidney, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering with distinction.

Allyson Day, of West Gardiner, Maine, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in biology and biotechnology with distinction.

Abigail King, of Benton, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering with distinction.

Albert Languet, of Belgrade Lakes, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering.

Emily Perkins, of Leeds, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.
