Driver charged in Waterville pedestrian crash that seriously injured woman
Peter Michaud, 70, of Waterville, was charged with aggravated driving to endanger after the Jeep he was driving Sunday on Elm Street in Waterville struck and seriously injured a woman and left another person with minor injuries, police said.

Kennebec River Rail Trail reopens after Augusta police locate Gardiner man
The Augusta Police Department temporarily closed the Kennebec River Rail Trail Wednesday to search for Jason Spaulding, 47, of Gardiner, who fled on foot after he was involved in an argument on Swan Street.

Canaan selectman denies incident led to replacing town’s representatives on Lake George Regional Park board of directors
Daniel Harriman, a member of the Canaan Select Board, said the park’s report about the June 2023 incident, which alleges he yelled at two teenage staff members and their supervisor in an altercation over a parking dispute, was not completely accurate.
