The group is celebrating its anniversary Oct. 3 through Oct. 28 by displaying members’ art and pieces from the society’s history in the Winslow Public Library.

The annual celebration of rural and organic living is staffed largely by a collection of people who volunteer their time and set up camp at the Unity fair each year.

The 40th annual fair, which opens Friday in Unity, “aims to put something out there for everyone,” according to Fair Director April Boucher.
