The riders — Jamie Gross, 58, of Belmont, and Aaron White-Sevigny, 25, of Windsor — were participating in the United Bikers of Maine Toy Run when the accident occurred Sunday afternoon.

The father of a boy who has recovered from Ewing’s sarcoma urged people to hang gold ribbons on their doors to “show these kids you’ve got their back.”

Much of the money proposed to be borrowed by the city would be paid back using proceeds in taxes from natural gas pipelines and other taxable infrastructure.
