Relations between the 2 countries have become increasingly strained after the discovery of a Chinese surveillance balloon in U.S. air space and since the Communist nation has grown its ties with Russia.

The documents, most of which appear to have originated at the Pentagon and were allegedly leaked by an information specialist with the Massachusetts Air National Guard, have shown up on social media.
