P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center will host its second annual P.A.W.S. Heroes Gala TIME Wednesday, July 11, at 16 Bay View in Camden to honor and celebrate the service of three individuals who have proven to be everyday heroes for homeless and abandoned animals, according to a news release from the adoption center.

The event will feature a three-course meal provided by Stone Cove Catering. David Rosenfelt, bestselling mystery writer and the author of “Rescued” and “Dogtripping,” will be this year’s keynote speaker.

Honorees are Martha “Marty” Martens, recipient of the 2018 Margaret Morey Lifetime Achievement Award for her many years of service to the organization and for being a tireless advocate for animals.

Additional awards will be presented to Jacob Pendleton, of Camden, recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year; and to Heidi V. Neal, owner of Loyal Biscuit, will be recognized as the 2018 Business Partner of the Year.

“The Heroes Gala is our opportunity to honor and celebrate the success of the shelter and of those who have offered their support, their passion and their compassion to the organization and most especially to the animals we serve.” said Shelly Butler, executive director of P.A.W.S., according to the release.

This year’s event is sponsored by 16 Bay View, Stone Cove Catering, the First National Bank, First Advisors, and Goose River Golf Club. For tickets, visit PAWSadoption.org.
