WATERVILLE — Thomas College President Laurie G. Lachance recently announced a $10,000 President’s Inaugural Scholarship to the first class of Master’s in Criminology students, according to a news release from the college.
The one-year Master’s in Criminology is a program in the fields of criminal justice and criminology.
The classes allow students to complete their master’s in 10 months while working. It is the only master’s program of its kind in Maine, according to the release.
“We know that affordability is a very important component to furthering education, and we want to help make it easier for students dreams to come true. This one-time $10,000 scholarship will lower students’ tuition to $16,110,” said Lachance, according to the release.
The application deadline is June 29.
