FARMINGTON — The Shiretown Bookers will host its summer exhibition “Extravaganza!: Extravagant Books from Members’ Collections,” from June 8 through Aug. 26 in the Bookers’ display area in Mantor Library, 116 South St.

Books on display will include a copy of Carl Jung’s “The Red Book,” and a two-volume impression of “Horace’s Opera,” bound together in three-quarter leather in 1749 London. Others include a facsimile edition of “Blake’s Songs of Innocence” and of “Experience,” and the 1889 elephant folio atlas of skin diseases, “with 58 beautifully colored plates.”

An opening reception is set for 5-6 p.m. Thursday, June 7.
