A Healthy Lawn Care class is set for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, in the Gardiner Area High School ATM Room, 40 Hill Road, in Gardiner.

The class, sponsored by School Administrative District Adult Education, will be about how to create a more resilient, beautiful lawn, without relying on chemical fertilizers and weed and bug killers. Strategies for building healthy soil to grow a beautiful lawn will be discussed.

Class topics will include fertilizing, controlling weeds and thatch, renovating poor lawns, transitioning to organic care and more.

Kat Munson, instructor, is the Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District.

The registration fee is $29.
