WATERVILLE — The Planning Board on Monday will consider final plans for a 20,000-square-foot building proposed for Penny Hill Park at 295 Kennedy Memorial Drive.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the council chambers on the third floor at The Center at 93 Main St. downtown.

The Penny Park project, proposed by Bill Mitchell, owner of 295 KMD LLC, will be reviewed under the city’s site plan review and subdivision ordinance.

Mitchell said at the board’s meeting June 19 that the building would be constructed behind an existing building in the park and would be used for office space, medical office space, and possibly retail use.

In other matters Monday, the board will consider a request by Saint Francis Apartments Inc. for a 1-year extension to complete an 18-unit addition to an apartment building at 52 Elm St. The building is on the site of the former St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Meanwhile, Old Girls LLC, of Newport, will request a revision to a zoning contract for 8 Highwood St. so apartments may be developed in the building, which formerly housed HealthReach offices. The current contract for the property is Contract Zoned District/Commercial A, which allows for only offices on the site.

The building is across the street from Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home.

In other matters Monday, the board will consider revisions to a previously-approved plan for Fieldstone Meadows at Fieldstone Landing off Kennedy Memorial Drive. The development, which is in both Waterville and Oakland, is owned by Planning Board Chairman Paul Lussier. The board will review the request under the subdivision and site plan review ordinance.

The board also is expected to set a deadline for compliance with conditions of approval for Assistance Plus at 2 and 3 Michael Lane in accordance with a section of the transitional zone of the zoning ordinance.
