WATERVILLE — Annie Cooke scored 12 points as the Skowhegan girls basketball team held off Waterville 47-46 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference showdown Tuesday night.
Jordan Jabar scored her 1,00th career point for Waterville (8-5) in the loss. She finished with 25 points. Mackenzie St. Pierre chipped in with nine points.
Sydney Reed added 10 points for the Indians (10-4). Alyssa Everett added eight points.
MORSE 50, ERSKINE 33: Noa Sreden scored 16 points and Hope Faulkingham added 13 as the Shipbuilders cruised to the KVAC victory in South China.
Sierra Wallace scored eight points for Morse (5-10).
Lydia Boucher and Catherine Silva each scored six points to lead the Eagles (2-12).
RANGELEY 39, PINE TREE ACADEMY 30: Sydney Royce scored 21 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Lakers in Auburn.
Celia Philbrick added seven points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Rangeley (12-3).
Adriana DePalma and Alexandra Goodman each led Pine Tree (9-5) with 12 points.
TEMPLE 72, FOREST HILLS 52: Kiara Carr scored 31 points and Selam Heinrich added 15 as the Bereans rolled in Jackman.
Daphne Labbe and Olivia Baker each scored eight points for Temple (13-2) as well.
Caitlin Logston scored 18 points to lead the Tigers (9-7).
WINSLOW 57, MCI 23: Heather Kervin scored 31 points, hauled in five rebounds and had six steals to lead the host Black Raiders.
Ciara LeClair added eight points and four assists for Winslow (12-2).
Sara Linkletter led MCI (9-6) with seven points while Sydney Morton had six.
OAK HILL 45, CARRABEC 29: Charlotte Waterman led the Raiders with 11 points to pick up a Mountain Valley Conference Victory over the Cobras in North Anson.
Desirae Dumas added 10 points for Oak Hill (8-9).
Bailey Dunphy led Carrabec (3-16) with 11 points.
MT. BLUE 40, LEAVITT 30: Leah St. Lauren scored 10 points and Lexi Mittelstadt added eight to lead the Cougars (4-10) in Farmington.
Allie Belaire scored a game-high 12 points for the Hornets (6-9).
BOYS BASKETBALL
MT. ABRAM 53, MADISON 52, OT: Dawson Bate hit a layup as time expired in overtime to give the Roadrunners an MVC win in Salem.
Dan Luce led Mt. Abram (4-11) — which has now won four consecutive games — with 16 points. Nate Luce added 14 points.
Sean Whalen and Nick Morales each scored 15 points for Madison (14-3).
MESSALONSKEE 63, NOKOMIS 54: Nate Violette had a double-double — scoring a game-high 29 points while grabbing 10 rebounds — to lead the Eagles in Oakland.
James Kouletsis scored 15 points and added nine rebounds, while Griffin Tuttle scored seven points for Messalonskee (10-4).
Zach Hartsgrove led Nokomis (7-7) with 24 points. Josh Smestad chipped in with 13 points.
MCI 51, WINSLOW 49: Owen Williams scored 15 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Huskies to the KVAC B upset in Pittsfield.
Jose Valverde added 11 points for MCI (4-11) while Adam Bertrand chipped in nine.
Winslow (10-4) was led by Keanu Earle with 14 points and Dylan Hutchinson with 12.
OAK HILL 73, CARRABEC 54: Marcus Bailey had a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, to lead the Raiders in Wales.
Evan Boston added 16 points for Oak Hill (10-6).
Dustin Crawford led Carrabec (3-13) with 18 points.
RANGELEY 52, PINE TREE ACADEMY 46: Kyle LaRochelle scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Lakers to the D South victory in Fairfield.
Ricky Thompson had nine points and eight rebounds for the Lakers (5-10), who withstood a late charge from Pine Tree Academy (5-8).
Alex Schlisner scored 13 points to lead Pine Tree (5-8).
SKOWHEGAN 60, WATERVILLE 34: Cam Barnes scored a game-high 18 points to lift the host Indians to the KVAC A win.
Marcus Christopher added 12 points for Skowhegan (8-6).
Jack Lloyd led Waterville (1-13) with nine points while Cooper Boardman added six.
FOREST HILLS 74, TEMPLE 53: Eighth grader Parker Desjardins scored 25 points to lead the Tigers in Jackman.
Dawson Daigle just missed on a double-double, scoring nine points and adding 10 rebounds for Forest Hills (10-6).
Brad Smith led Temple (8-7) with 27 points.

WINSLOW 37, SKOWHEGAN 36: Joey Kingsbury scored 11 points, while Jacob Varney added 10 to lead the Black Raiders in Winslow.
Cheyanne Raymond added in eight points for Winslow (1-0).
Jazzmin Chase led Skowhegan (0-1) with 14 points. David Grace added six points.
CARRABEC 83, WATERVILLE 72: Cory Miller scored 19 points to lead the Cobras to a season-opening victory over the Purple Panthers in North Anson.
Peter Mouland and Katilin Tatakis each scored 18 points for Carrabec (1-0), while Dalton Way added 16 points.
Nick Belanger led Waterville (0-1) with 30 points. Dakota Moore and Jessica Williams each added 12 points.
