The 111th Camden High School Alumni Banquet was held on Aug. 12 at Point Lookout with 185 in attendance, according to a news release from the Camden Alumni Association.
Alumnus came from near and far to renew friendship’s, make new friends, and enjoy an evening of camaraderie and entertainment, and more. Point Lookout was the ideal setting, according to the release.
The Camden High School Alumni Association Board of Directors are grateful to all the sponsors, scholarship and auction donors for their generous contributions.
As in years past, the Silent Auction was a success because of all the alumni and businesses who donated to it.

Two of last years’ scholarship recipients, Eliza Boetsch and Nicki Fowlie, gave brief summaries of their first-year college experiences, which were very interesting.
Any member of the Camden Hills High School senior class can apply for a scholarship.
The highlight of the evening was the Special Recognition Awards. Recipients were CHS alumni members Theodate “Teddy” Wilcox and Roy Bennett.
A posthumous award to Willard “Swiss” Hardy was presented to his son, Stephen.
At the “wrap-up” board meeting on Aug. 18, President David Ames was acknowledged for his excellent leadership over the last three years. Diann Robarts Henderson, class of ’63, was named the new incoming president.
