A Freedom woman and her boyfriend have been charged with multiple drug offenses, including smoking marijuana with the woman’s 13-year-old son.
Jasmine Schmidt, 33, and Paul Rogers, 29, both of Freedom, were summoned by the Waldo County’s Sheriff Department after the department found the pair had “supplied and consumed marijuana” with Schmidt’s son, according to a news release Friday from the department.
The department got a report Aug. 3 of a 13-year-old smoking marijuana with relatives and, while investigating, “a usable amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were turned over by the parties involved,” the release said.
Schmidt was charged with aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, class C and the civil violations of possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rogers was charged with aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, class C and the civil violation of possession of drug paraphernalia.
They are both scheduled to be arraigned in Waldo County on Sept. 11.
