proposal deadline

HALLOWELL — The April 1 deadline to submit exhibition proposals for Harlow Gallery has been extended to 11 p.m. Friday, May 1.

Submissions are accepted anytime, according to a news release from the gallery.

Any artist or group can submit a proposal for an exhibition, but gallery members are encouraged to submit proposals. Proposals are initially ranked by certain criteria and current membership is one of these, followed by being a resident of Maine, or having a strong connection to the state.

All art forms are welcome, and all media, including sculpture, photography and fine crafts. The current exhibition committee welcomes proposals involving contemporary art, performance art, experimental art, cross-disciplinary art and conceptual art.
