Harlow Gallery Presents 12th Annual ‘Young at Art’
“Young at Art,” the Harlow Gallery’s annual exhibition of children’s artwork, will be on view Feb. 28- March 21 at the 160 Water St. gallery in Hallowell.
Every year since 2003 the gallery has invited art teachers from elementary and middle schools from throughout the greater Augusta area to select their best student art to be featured in this community-wide celebration of young artists.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. Hours at the Harlow Gallery are noon-6 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday.
The public is invited to the opening reception set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28. Light refreshments will be available available. Families with children especially encouraged to attend, but artists and their families and friends are requested to attend according to the following schedule to avoid overcrowding: 10 a.m.—noon, artists in kindergarten through 2nd grade; noon-2 p.m., artists in 3rd through 5th grade; 2-4 p.m., artists in 6th through 8th grades.
