Music for Mavis Tuesdays at the Gazebo music series presents the delightful sounds of The Cobblestones from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, at the gazebo in Turner.

The Cobblestones are a  group of seasoned musicians including vocalist Carolyn Plourde, guitarist/vocalist Michael Plourde, percussionist Mark Plourde and Steve Moore, bassist. They are often joined by pianist/vocalist Danielle Tran. Hailing from Norway, West Paris and Gorham, their music is an eclectic collection best described as Americana with acoustic rock and classic favorites in the mix. The Cobblestones began at a Friday night open mic at Tucker’s Pub in Norway in December 2014. Once Mike and Carolyn began talking about their musical interests, partnership was inevitable. What started as a plan to play an open mic together ended up as the start of a band dedicated to performing the songs that most move and inspire the members and to play them the very best.

The show will go on rain or shine. Bring a chair, a blanket, and a friend. We pass the hat to pay the musicians. Suggested donation $10.

For more information, call 207-754-0954 or 207-240-4591 or visit the Music for Mavis page on Facebook. The gazebo is located off Rt. 117 near the Turner Public Library at 98 Mathews Way, Turner.
