VA Maine Healthcare System plans to hold a Whole Health Fair and three VA2K Walk and Roll events this month in Augusta, Lewiston and Portland.
The Lewiston VA2K Walk & Roll is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Lewiston VA Clinic, 15 Challenger Drive.
The VA Maine Whole Health Fair & VA2K is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Togus VA Medical Center, 1 VA Center (gazebo outside of Building 207) in Augusta.
The afternoon will include music, experiential activities, and education related to this year’s Circle of Health highlights, according to a news release from Jonathan Barczyk with the VA Maine Healthcare System.
Veterans and their families are welcome. Register at the registration table upon arrival to the event.
The Portland VA2K Walk & Roll will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Portland VA Clinic, 141 West Commercial St. in Portland.
All events help support homeless veterans and promote healthy and active lifestyles.
Voluntary in-kind donations or gift cards to assist with homeless veterans, newly or recently housed, are accepted.
Those unable to attend an event, but who would still like to support homeless veterans of Maine, can do so at cdceportal.va.gov. Scroll down to choose State & Facility, then choose Homeless Veteran Assistance in the Program for Donation drop down menu.
