I went to the new Paul J. Schupf Art Center in downtown Waterville to get a ticket to something coming up and found out that not one of the entry doors had the handicap push button to open the doors for those in a wheelchair or on a mobility scooter or even those who cannot open the doors for whatever reason they might have.

You would think that a brand new, multimillion-dollar building wouldn’t forget something like the handicap door openers. If something like that wasn’t thought about, I wonder what else might of been forgotten for those people with handicaps who might want to enter this new building to the downtown area.

Finding out that it’s missing the door opener makes me not want to enter for anything that might be held there — and I bet there’s hundreds more who feel the same way.
