WATERVILLE — Two men were arrested early Saturday after police searched their Autumn Street apartment and seized marijuana and narcotics, according to Sgt. Alan Main.
Jason Haskell, 30, was charged with five counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and three counts of aggravated furnishing; Delos C. Elliott II, 30, was arrested on a warrant, Main said Saturday.
Both live at 13 Autumn St., Apt. 1.
Armed with a search warrant, police went to the apartment at 5:09 a.m. Saturday, according to Main.
They seized several ounces of marijuana, as well as narcotics including oxycodone and hydrocodone pills, he said.
Elliott was unable to make the $1,000 cash bail and was taken to Kennebec County Jail in Augusta, Main said. Haskell’s bail was set at $50,000 cash and he also was taken to jail because he could not make bail.
Haskell is scheduled to appear in Kennebec County Superior Court in Augusta July 26. Main said Elliott likely would go before a judge next week.
The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation, according to Main. Autumn Street is located in the city’s South End, between Sherwin and Redington streets.
