GARDINER — Cody Dingwell made a free throw with 1.9 second left to give Gardiner a 61-60 win over Lawrence in Class A North boys basketball action Tuesday.

Freshman Brady Atwater scored 14 points, all in the first half, to lead the Tigers (3-14) while Zach Kristan added 13 points and seven rebounds. Dingwell chipped in nine points and seven rebounds.

Lawrence (8-9) was led by Conner Nutting with 16 points and Gavin Hunt with 15.

 

MADISON 57, OAK HILL 32: Callan Franzose scored his 1,000th career point for the Bulldogs (10-7) in their MVC road win over the Raiders (4-14) in Wales.

Franzose tied teammate Deacon Murray for the game-high scoring output with 14 points apiece. Kayden Hibbard hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 for Madison.

Ethan Vattaso was Oak Hill’s top scorer with 11 points, and Landen Denis added 10.

 

FOREST HILLS 83, NORTH HAVEN 31: The Tigers closed out their regular season with a lopsided win over the Hawks at Kennebec Valley Community College.

Mason Desjardins scored a game-high 29 points for Forest Hills (15-3), which also got 22 points from eighth-grader Mason Cuddy. Braidan Welch added 18 points for the Tigers.

Freshman Ezra Davisson made five 3-pointers in a 17-point effort for North Haven (0-9). John Brown contributed 10 points.

MARANACOOK 93, BELFAST 34: Keagan McClure scored 26 points to lead the Black Bears (9-8) to a win over the Lions (1-15) in Readfield.

Jacob McLaughlin scored 15 points, while Robbie Vivenzio added 12 points for Maranacook.

Elijah Slaughter led Belfast with 10 points.

 

MEDOMAK VALLEY 82, WATERVILLE 50: Kory Donlin scored 19 points and Gabe Lash contributed 14 as Medomak Valley cruised to the win in Waldoboro.

Gavin Clark had 10 points and six rebounds for Medomak (14-4). Kevin Sincyr had nine points and six assists.

Spencer Minihan led Waterville (5-13) with 16 points.

 

MT. BLUE 99, ERSKINE 49: Chandler Briggs hit six 3-pointers and topped five Cougars who scored in double figures in the victory in Farmington.

Briggs finished with 20 points. Evans Sterling added 18, Zak Koban scored 15, Carter Norton had 11 and Zach Poisson contributed 10. Mt. Blue (12-5) scored 30 points in each of the first two quarters.

Tristan Anderson led Erskine (1-16) with eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

 

MADISON 71, TELSTAR 38: Raegan Cowen scored 23 points to lead the Bulldogs to the win in Bethel.

Kylee Furbush added 11 points and Mackenzie Robbins scored 10 for Madison (12-6).

Morgan Zetts led Telstar (2-14) with 17 points, while Karen Marshall drained three 3-pointers and scored 15 points.
