AUGUSTA — Kat Child has been promoted to senior account executive/digital marketing specialist, according to a news release from Charlene Williams, president, Marshall Communications. Child joined the public relations firm in 2020 as an account coordinator and became a vital part of the team, quickly earning her first promotion to account executive.
Nancy Marshall, CEO of Marshall Communications said, “Kat has been a hard-working, focused member of our team since 2020, so I was pleased to see her earn this promotion at Marshall Communications. She is so thoughtful about every client project, and brings curiosity and a deep desire to achieve the best results for the clients.”
Child works with multiple agency clients including The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, The Maine Highlands, The Maine Office of Tourism, and recently, the Portland Museum of Art.
“This is a great opportunity to take on additional clients across new areas, while honing my digital marketing skillset,” said Child. “Each client presents unique opportunities and challenges to solve — there is certainly no one-size-fits-all approach and that keeps me engaged in my work. As someone who enjoys writing, I am also able to bring that skillset into my work, whether through copywriting or writing a compelling pitch.”
Child earned her bachelor’s degree from UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, and lives in Portland.
