I am not registered in a political party. The number of signs or red, white and blue stripes on them doesn’t impress me. I am impressed by dedication to the community and thoughtful consideration of issues. I will be voting for Tavis Hasenfus to continue representing Winthrop and Readfield.

Our children need a good education to secure a bright future for all. Teaching reading, math and history doesn’t cut it. Our kids need science and civics, technical skills, art and music. I have watched Tavis interact with students. He volunteers in ways important to our communities.

“Less regulation and lower taxes“ is appealing on a brochure but not a solution. Our water and farm fields need protection. What is important to us in the long term? Tavis is a Clean Elections candidate. I trust him to vote independent of pressure from special interest groups.
