I am writing in support of David LaFountain for Maine State Senate. I have spoken with him and know that he will put the interests of our local communities first. Mr. LaFountain has a stellar record of public service as a firefighter, EMT and fire chief. He is now ready to continue that service in the Maine Senate. He cares about the health and safety of Maine people and knows how public policy and votes in Augusta can affect health.

In contrast, I am puzzled by the strange mailings from Florida that I have received supporting his opponent. Rather than addressing Maine issues, they focus on congressional term limits; an issue that is highly unlikely to be ever considered by the Maine Legislature.

Perhaps this attempted distraction is because it is clear that David LaFountain is the best choice to represent our local communities in the Maine State Senate.
