One of Denmark Arts Center’s most enjoyable outdoor festival is making a comeback. On Sunday, Aug. 28, from 12-8:30 p.m. Denmark Arts Center will host Dam Jam Revival, an outdoor family music and arts festival. This year the focus is family with kid’s art, stilt-walkers, traditional crafts, a good selection of food trucks and good music – as always.
Featured bands are Bee Parks & the Hornets at 2 p.m.; the Jason Spooner Band at 5 p.m.; and The Mallett Brothers Band at 7 p.m. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, The Mallett Brothers Band will play inside the Denmark Arts Center that night (8/28) at 7 p.m. to an intimate audience.
Kids area includes the ArtVan, Common Roots Studio, Neveah Dance Circus with hula-hoop making, stilt-walkers, and roaming artists. Kids can design their own t-shirts, make their own hula-hoops, be a fly-tyer, make spin art, and have a chance to make their own instrument to join in with the music. Children’s readings every hour on the 1/2 hour by Donna Seim.
Traditional crafts area includes artists like Wildlife Creation (wood carving), fly-tying, guitar-making with luthier Alex Edney, and Tear Cap Workshops wood products.
