FAIRFIELD — Winning pitcher Hunter Lee and Conner Nutting each doubled, and the Lawrence baseball team rallied past Oceanside 3-2 in a Class B North quarterfinal game on Friday.
The Bulldogs (14-4) trailed 2-0 before storming back with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth.
With one out in the fifth, Nutting doubled, then advanced to third on an Andrew Trombley single. Nutting would score on a wild pitch to pull Lawrence within 2-1.
Then, in the sixth, Cameron Dostie and Maddox Santone singled before advancing on a fielder’s choice. Parker Higgins tied the game with a sacrifice fly, before Matix Lord singled home the eventual game-winning run.
Lawrence finished the game off in the seventh when right fielder Huggins threw out an Oceanside runner at first on a one-hop single to right.
Lee pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs, striking out four. Trombley finished with a pair of hits.

MARANACOOK Â 5, MT. ABRAM 2: The No. 6 Black Bears slowly built a lead big enough to knock off the No. 3 Roadrunners in a Class C South quarterfinal game in Salem.
Maranacook (14-5) scored single runs in the second, third and fifth innings before plating two in the top of the sixth. Mt. Abram (15-3), which committed six errors, scored both its runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Tyler Hreben scattered four hits while striking out 10 in a complete-game victory for Maranacook. Alex Trafton collected two of the Black Bears’ four hits.
Trevor Phelps, who pitched the first six innings while striking out seven for Mt. Abram, hit a double. All of the runs Phelps allowed were unearned.

MT. ARARAT 10, LEWISTON 6: Carson Taylor doubled and drove in a run and freshman Ethan Berry had a pair of hits as Mt. Ararat sank Lewiston in a Class A North quarterfinal game Friday.
Senior Ryan Robertson and Brady Merrill also drove in run for the No. 3 Eagles, who will host No. 7 Edward Little in a regional semifinal game Saturday at 1 p.m.
Shea Farrell started the game for the Eagles, pitching three innings. Berry came on in relief and pitched the final four innings.

MADISON 8, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Brooke McKenney pitched another gem and Madison rolled into the Class C South semifinals.
McKenney struck out 13 and allowed just two hits to earn the victory. Lilly Levesque drove in a pair of runs, while Raegan Cowan also had an RBI.
