I am writing to the Democratic voters of Hallowell, Manchester and West Gardiner to explain why I want to represent House District 55. My wife and I raised our two children here. We love the area and are committed to public service here. My service to this district includes nine years on the school board and long time membership of the library board. My wife has been a public school educator in the district for over 20 years.

As your state representative, I want to make the government work for the people here. I like to fix things, and I see that there are a lot of areas where the state could, and should, do a better job in meeting people’s needs, especially in areas like the environment, transportation, affordable housing, elder services and health care.

I am asking for your vote on June 14.
