In response to Tom Waddell’s negative comments about Christians (“Extreme religious movement advances in the US,” Feb. 25), I must clarify what being a Christian’s view is.
The Bible tells us to love one another. That includes atheists, agnostics and Christians. All people regardless of faith, whether we agree with them or not.
Christian’s love for our Heavenly God has resulted in food banks, clothing for the needy, shelters and other forms of loving our neighbors. It has sent teams of caring people to people who have experienced two disasters. They don’t ask what their faith or lack of is.
Christian schools teach love and caring, non-violence, respect, how we all should act towards others. When this nation was new, teachers were required to attend church on Sundays, and be good role models for children and adults alike.
Billy Graham, and now his children and grandchildren, continue with Samaritan’s Purse and other Christian caring activities.
Christian love to you and you and you!
