One of the greatest attributes a leader should carry is the ability to listen. Mark O’Brien embodies this trait, and has a history of listening carefully to others ideas, concerns and perspectives in order to develop a position on issues.
Mark is approachable, has the highest integrity, and will be able to build positive relationships with council members, city staff, state leaders, business owners and with the greater community.
Above and beyond his skill set, Mark has shown his love for our city through his many years of service. From when he was a tri-captain of the Cony football team in high school, to serving on the charter commission in ‘87, to his years chairing the school board, on the council, serving as our interim mayor and on boards like the Augusta Food Bank and the Capitol Area Recreation Association. Mark has shown his commitment to our youth, to our elderly and everyone in between.
Mark is the leader I trust as mayor, and I could not be more excited to go vote on Nov. 2, as I get to check the box next to Mark O’Brien’s name.
