HALLOWELL — More than 15 local businesses plan to come together to serve their favorite pies and support Spectrum Generations and the Cohen Community Center.
The Pie Crawl is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in downtown Hallowell, giving participants the opportunity to peruse local shops while sampling pies.
Participants can begin the crawl either at the Harlow Gallery or at the Hallowell Antiques Mall. Each of these sites will be handing out the list of participating shops, an orange bracelet that acts as the ticket to the Pie Crawl, and a bag for leftovers.
“We’re grateful to everyone who has made the Pie Crawl so successful in the past, and we can’t wait for this year’s delicious, fun event. It’s a wonderful collaboration between Spectrum Generations and local businesses, and we hope to see a great crowd there,” said Victoria Abbott, community engagement director for Spectrum Generations, according to a news release from the organization.
Once participants have had their fill of pie, they can vote on their favorite sweet pie and savory pie.
The cost is $20 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
