FARMINGTON — Lauren Howatt and Natalie Howard each had two goals and an assist to lead Mt. Blue past Hampden 6-1 in field hockey action Thursday.
Eva Stevens scored and had an assist for Mt. Blue (1-0) while Elle Marshall scored a goal.
Reese Levesque had Hampden Academy’s (0-1) lone goal and Jada Billadeau made four saves in the loss.

OCEANSIDE 8, ERSKINE 1: Collette Black had four goals to spark the Mariners to the win in South China.
Lily Stockpile, Taylor Landgry, Maddie Ripley and Allie Coburn added a goal each for Oceanside (1-0) while Hayley Black stopped six shots.
Reece Sullivan scored for Erskine (0-1). Hannah Torrey made eight saves.

Laney LeBlanc had three goals and four assists, while Eleanor Tibbetts (three assists) and Elli Quinn (assist) also had tallies. Kate Kelso had two assists.

Monmouth goalie June Foyt kept Mountain Valley scoreless, making three saves. The Mustangs outshot the Falcons, 27-3. Emma Koch and Justice Gendron teamed up in net for the Falcons, with making 17 and two saves, respectively.
