PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle has announced its local students that made the 2021 spring semester dean’s list.

Dean’s list: Abby Fisk Malone of Gardiner, Cassidy M. Spencer of Litchfield, Nichole Marie Stewart of Oakland, Taylor J. Shute of Vassalboro, Bethany Laura McAvoy of Winthrop, Callie Morgan Rogers of Winthrop, Marissa Jean Carpenter of Winslow, Sam Folsom of Winthrop, Nick Clark of Athens, Mariah A. Dunbar of Canaan, Hunter Mercier of Fairfield, Forrest Qua Bates of Harmony, and Rebeccah Knowles of Skowhegan.

Part-time academic recognition list: Erika Bennett and Kathleen Elaine Haase, both of Augusta; and Kimber Riese of Winthrop.

Because of a new academic policy, there are no longer distinctions between highest honors, high honors and honors. All students who achieve academic distinction now appear on one honors list. The university also has a new category for part-time academic recognition.
