FARMINGTON — In observance of National Women’s Health Week, health screenings and education will be offered to all women by Healthy Community Coalition staff. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Western Maine Community Action Health Services, 193 Front St.
Screenings include body composition analysis, bone density screenings and blood-pressure checks. Cancer-prevention education will also be available.
Maine women, 40 and older, who have no insurance or are underinsured and meet income guidelines may qualify to receive free mammograms and physicals.
To schedule an appointment, call 778-4553. Space is limited and gifts will be given to all women participating while supplies last.
