Books In Boothbay, Maine’s largest single-day literary event, will be held on July 14 from at 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Boothbay Railway Village. The event brings together 40 Maine authors who represent the landscape of writing in, from and about Maine.  Now in its eighth year,  Books in Boothbay is presented by Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and Boothbay Railway Village and is supported by Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance and Sherman’s Book and Stationery Stores, as stated in a news release.  The collection of authors and the special features of the venue make this an event with something for everyone.
Books In Boothbay includes Maine authors of all genres sharing their latest works.  The list includes:
• Lea Wait: “Shadows of a Down East Summer”
• Gerry Boyle: “Port City Black and White”
• Vicki Doudera: “A House to Die For”
• Kate Flora:  “Redemption”
• James Hayman: “The Cutting and The Chill of the Night”
• Barbara Ross: “The Death of an Ambitious Woman”
• Julia Spencer-Fleming: “One Was A Soldier.”

The Books in Boothbay event is free, parking is free and every $5 train ride puts the rider’s name in a hat for a chance to win a pair of tickets to “A Day Out With Thomas” in August.  Following the event, there is an authors’ reception planned for 3:45 p.m., which is open to the public.
