The Barry S. Timson Education Grant Fund is accepting applications from Hall-Dale High School seniors through May 31 for a $3,000 scholarship to a post-secondary educational institution.
The annual award was established in memory of long-time Hallowell supporter and mayor, Barry S. Timson, who dedicated his life to the community and public service.
The 2018 recipient was Cole Perry, of Hallowell, who is studying biomedical engineering at the University of Maine at Orono, with a goal of finding a cure for daibetes.
The Timson Fund is a nonprofit organization and contributions are tax deductible.
