PORTLAND — Bishop Richard J. Malone, apostolic administrator for the Diocese of Portland, has announced the following local priest assignments, with effective date noted, according to a news release.
Effective June 1, the Rev. Kent Ouellette, currently pastor of Our Lady of the Snows in Dexter and St. Agnes in Pittsfield, has been assigned as parochial vicar of Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Parish in Madawaska, Our Lady of the Valley Parish in St. Agatha, and St. Peter Chanel Parish in Van Buren. All three parishes are in Vicariate I.
Effective July 1, the Rev. Joseph Cahill, currently parochial vicar of four parishes in Vicariate V: St. Joseph Parish in Bridgton, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Windham, St. Anne in Gorham and St. Anthony in Westbrook, has been appointed pastor of two parishes in Vicariate II: St. Agnes in Pittsfield and Our Lady of the Snows in Dexter.
