So, not being a resident of Waterville, I realize I have no real stake in this, but I would like to float out an idea and a criticism. First off, please, at least turn the lights down on the Two Cent Bridge. No one who goes for a walk at night wants it to feel like daylight. Why keep something beautiful if you don’t appreciate its beauty?

Now for my idea. And again, I don’t live in Waterville, so it’s not my tax money being spent. A lot of money was spent on that park. And we spend a lot of money to keep it clean from graffiti. It’s evident people want to use this park for different reasons. Some for graffiti and some for its natural beauty. Why not make a graffiti park and embrace that as part of the town’s culture? There are so many amazing ways you could implement a graffiti park and have it be beautiful in its own right.

This way taxpayer money is spent on things that all different parts of our community want. Let’s make the world a more beautiful place.
