Riley E. Enright, daughter of Shawn and Andrea Enright of Skowhegan, is this year’s (General Federation of Women’s Clubs) Skowhegan Woman’s Club’s college scholarship recipient.
According to her official 2023 Skowhegan Area High School transcript, Enright graduated second in her class of 144 students with a 99.2557 grade point average. A member of both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honors Society, she was also a year-round athlete who played field hockey during high school.
Her community service has involved volunteering for Move More Kids, Somerset Snowfest, and Lake George and Somerset Woods trail maintenance.
During high school, Enright worked for Brickyard Hollow Brewing in Skowhegan.
In the fall, she plans to major in criminal justice and conservation law enforcement at Thomas College in Waterville. Her goal is to earn her bachelors and masters degrees in four years and become a Maine Game Warden.
In her scholarship application, Enright stated: “I want to be an active community member who can make an impact through community relationships as well as enforcement. I strive to make a difference by participating in community events to help educate the younger generations and hope they will appreciate ethics and conservation as much as I do and develop a strong passion for the outdoors.”
