WATERVILLE – Roy “Mike” H. Meyer passed away on July 14, 2023, at the age of 97.

Born in Hoboken, NJ, Mike resided in Jersey City, NJ before living in Union City, N.J., with his wife, Gloria, and two children, Linda and Roy.

Mike met the love of his life, Gloria, while sharing special times with a group of local friends. Together, they shared a marriage spanning 72 years filled with love and support.

Mike became a proud military veteran serving his country in World War II. He would take great pride in sharing stories in Europe before his discharge back home.

Mike was a career lithographer working in New York City for over 43 years while providing a great family environment at home including special summer vacations, which lead to his love of spending time in Maine.

Mike is predeceased by his daughter Linda. He is survived by his wife Gloria (Lagomarsino) Meyer and his son Roy Michael Meyer and wife Diane (Stephens), as well as his five grandchildren, James Schumacher, Julianne Schumacher, Bryan Meyer, Keith Meyer, and Alexander Meyer. He was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Van, Luke, and William.

We will always remember Mike’s love for sport shooting, motorcycles, and of course, family time with loved ones.

Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville.
