It is always interesting to read the letters to the editors, especially with all the controversy regarding who can read what books.
Then I read the letter from Mr. Strieff in which he points out one of oldest and venerated books would be a candidate for banning based on its content (“Mainers must continue to stand up against vile rhetoric,” June 9). His description of what is recorded in this book is spot on. And it has been available for centuries. Of course, he was referring to the Bible. Amazing!
Then I read the comics and find that one, “Herb & Jamaal,” addresses the same issue. Wonderful!
Nuff said.
