The Cobblestones will perform in the Poland Spring Preservation Sunset Concert Series at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 10, at the gazebo at the Poland Spring Inn in Poland.
The Cobblestones are a Western Maine band that includes brothers Mark (drums) and Mike (guitar) Plourde, who have played together since junior high. Danielle Tran (keyboard and classically trained pianist) and Carolyn Plourde (vocals) pursued careers in medicine but bonded over their love of music. Carolyn and Mike met at an open mic in 2015 and the musical stars aligned. They eventually invited bass player, Steve Moore, to join. He has played guitar for decades all over the Boston area until moving to Maine.
The band performs music from a variety of artists including John Mellencamp, Fleetwood Mac, and Jackson Browne, as well as an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the 60s to contemporary music.
Admission is $5 per person. The gate opens at 6 p.m. Chairs are available or bring your own or a picnic blanket. Complimentary water is provided by the Poland Spring Bottling Company. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Poland Spring Inn.
The Poland Spring Inn is located at 640 Maine St., Poland.
