Capital Area Technical Center has announced its May professionals of the month.
Brenden Levesque of China is a senior at Erskine Academy in South China enrolled for the second year in the Computer Technology program.
He has earned five certifications in the program, which include: PCPRO, NetworkPRO, SecurityPRO, LinuxPRO, and NOCTI Computer Technology, according to a news release from Stephanie Turgeon, CATC Student Services coordinator.
Levesque is on Erskine Academy’s track team. In the fall, he plans to attend Kennebec Valley Community College and study applied electronics and computer technology. He plans to then transfer to the University of Maine and study computer engineering.
Jared Mrazik resides in Mount Vernon. He is a senior at Maranacook Community High School in Readfield enrolled for the second year in the Electrical Technology program.
Last year he won a gold medal at the local SkillsUSA competition. This year, he again won a gold medal at the local competition and then continued on to win a gold medal at the state competition in Electrical Knowledge.
When he is not in school, Mrazik can be found working at the Weathervane Restaurant, working side by side with an electrician, or working on one of his four jeeps. In the fall, he plans to attend Central Maine Community College and study electromechanical technology.
