One person was seriously injured in an explosion Friday morning at an auto sales and salvage business in Freeport, News Center Maine reported.
The explosion of a compressed gas cylinder occurred at about 9 a.m. at D.A.B. Used Auto Sales Inc., Freeport police told the news station. It was felt miles away and damaged windows of nearby homes, police said.
One person was taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries, including burns to the person’s hands and face.
No other details were available and officials did not immediately respond to messages seeking more information.
