WINTHROP – Kathryn Miles, an award-winning journalist and science writer, will talk about her new book “Trailed: One Woman’s Quest to Solve the Shenandoah Murders,” at 6:30 p.m., May 24, at the Bailey Library in downtown Winthrop.
The discussion, which is free and open to the public, is part of the ongoing Lakes Regions Forum series started by the Bailey Library in 2010.
Miles is the author of five books. In “Trailed,” Miles details the unsolved murder of two young women who were camping in the wilderness of Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park.
Her essays and articles have appeared in publications including Best American Essays, The Boston Globe, Down East, Ecotone, History, The New York Times, Outside, Pacific Standard, Popular Mechanics and Time, as stated in a news release.
She is writer in residence at Green Mountain College and a scholar in residence for the Maine Humanities Council.
