AUGUSTA — Lance Theriault and Jordan Benedict combined to throw a three-hitter, and the Cony baseball team scored the tie-breaking run in the sixth to earn a 4-3 win over Gardiner on Wednesday in Augusta.

Theriault started and allowed three hits over 3 1/3 innings. Benedict came out of the bullpen and allowed one hit over 3 2/3 frames.

Parker Morin (three RBIs) and Matt Boston had two hits apiece for the Rams (10-1).

Zach Reed had two hits and two runs scored for Gardiner (4-7). Theron Corliss allowed six hits over 5 1/3 innings.

 

DIRIGO 4, MADISON 2: Shortstop Austin Adams’ three hits and two RBIs led the Cougars (6-2) past the Bulldogs in Madison.

Trenton Hutchinson doubled and singled and scored twice for Dirigo, while Airick Richard and Dylen Packard also had two hits. Freshman Trevor Crosby pitched all seven innings to earn the win, striking out six and allowing eight hits.

Xavier Estes and Griffin Aldrich each had two hits for Madison (3-7). Starter Austin Hay fanned nine while giving up 10 hits in six innings on the mound.

 

LISBON 8, HALL-DALE 0: Jimmy Fitzsimmons had two hits and earned the win on the mound as the Greyhounds prevailed in Farmingdale.

Fitzsimmons and Cody Osmond combined to allow five hits for Lisbon (6-3). Jack Ramich added two hits for Lisbon.

Ben Nathan had two hits for Hall-Dale (4-7).

LEAVITT 12, MT. BLUE 11: Connor DeCoster had two doubles among his three hits and four RBIs as the Hornets (7-5) won in Farmington.

Luke Gladu had three hits and two RBIs for Leavitt. Brandon Bilodeau had a single and drove in two. Noah Carpenter doubled and Colton Taylor tripled in the win.

Brody Walsh had a double and three RBIs for Mt. Blue (6-6), while teammates Zak Koban had two hits and two RBIs.

 

MARANACOOK 17, WINSLOW 8: River Fallos and Madox Murtha had three hits apiece, and the Black Bears (4-7) rode a 10-run sixth inning to the win in Readfield.

Caldre Glowa, Kody Goucher and Robbie Vivenzie had two hits apiece, with Glowa driving home three runs. Travis Lemelin earned the win in relief of Fallos.

Matt Quirion had two doubles for Winslow (0-11), while Lucas Boucher, Brady Willette and Tucker Pomerleau also had two hits each.

 

OAK HILL 14, TELSTAR 4: A pair of six-run innings propelled the Raiders (9-0) to a five-inning home win over the Rebels in Wales.

Oak Hill scored six in the bottom of the first and added six in the fourth to take a 12-4 lead.

Zak Bean tripled and finished tied for team-highs in hits and RBIs — two of each — for the Raiders. Grayson Letourneau doubled and drove in two runs. Landon Bangs also had two RBIs and scored twice, while Trent Drouin had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs.

Landon Denis and Ethan Vattaso each pitched two innings for Oak Hill. Vattaso fanned four and Denis struck out two.

Connor Deprey and Anthony Conant tallied two hits apiece for Telstar (0-9).

 

SOFTBALL

 

GARDINER 13, CONY 0: Pitchers Lainey Cooley and Devon Clary combined on a three-hitter as the Tigers won easily in Augusta.

Dakota Lovely and Brooke Gero had three hits apiece for Gardiner (10-1), and Taylor Takatsu added two hits.

Abby Brown tripled for Cony (2-9).

 

WINTHROP 10, MT. ABRAM 0: Ella Rice’s third home run of the season highlighted the Ramblers’ six-inning victory over the Roadrunners (2-8) in Winthrop.

Rice also served as catcher for Lauren Wood, who struck out 10 and pitched a two-hit shutout to earn the win.

Haley Williams had three hits to lead Winthrop (6-4), and Julia Letourneau added two singles.

Adrianna Stinchfield struck out 12 batters for Mt. Abram (2-8).

 

OAK HILL 10, TELSTAR 0: Delia Custer drove in three runs and Carlee Austin had three hits to lead the Raiders past the Rebels in Wales.

Custer had two hits, a double and a single, while Austin doubled and hit two singles. Aubrey McElhaney contributed two hits, including a double, and scored twice. Eliana Smith tripled and scored three runs, and Izzy Whitaker had two hits and a run.

Kelsey Young struck out six in six innings while giving up four hits for Oak Hill (6-6).

Karen Marshall led Telstar (3-6) with two hits. Sophomore pitcher Maylyn Hastings went the distance and recorded five strikeouts.

MARANACOOK 8, WINSLOW 7: The Black Bears scored two runs in the ninth to earn the extra-inning come-from-behind win in Readfield.

Esme Jamison belted two doubles as part of a four-hit day for Maranacook (11-2), while Alexis Michaud went the distance to earn the win.

Allie LaBelle and Kaleigh Kubicki homered for Winslow (3-8), while Nevaeh Duplessie had three hits. Teammates Amber Phillips and Alonna Carerros added two apiece.

 

LEAVITT 27, MT. BLUE 7: Sam Deblois homered and Hailey Turcotte hit two triples to power the Hornets (9-3) past the Cougars (1-11) in Farmington.

Kylee Spugnardi led the lineup with four hits, Turcotte and Grace Ouellette tallied three, and Deblois, Lily Chabot, Hailey Cyr, Jordyn Boulet, Ashley Roy and Logan Arsenault each had two.

Chloe Maberry paced Mt. Blue with three hits.

 

GIRLS LACROSSE

 

CONY 18, HOULTON/HODGDON/GREATER HOULTON CHRISTIAN/EAST GRAND 10: Twelve different Rams found the back of the net as Cony (9-2) won at Augusta.

Casey Monson, Abby Morrill, Isabella Smith, Molly Stiman, Ashley Tobias and Dinah Wadleigh each scored twice for Cony. Morrill added three assists.

Alexandra Collins and Meghan Peters had four goals each for the visitors (0-6).
